Tenets

The tenets of the Libra Engine Compass.

Every work the instrument reads is weighed against these tenets: the universal moral standard beneath the charge. They are domain-neutral, the same whether the work is a song, a poem, a letter, or an article. They are publicly held and publicly amendable, not by vote but by deliberation, and the burden of changing them is deliberately high. A lens points the instrument at one kind of work; these tenets are what every lens shares.
